Janelee Dill Guidry, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at 11:50 p.m. on November 18, 2018 in Houma, La. She will be memorialized in a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral on Tuesday, November 20 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Janelee was born on December 25, 1923, in Houma, La. She was a member of the Terrebonne High School graduating class of 1940 and served as Director of the Houma Municipal Auditorium. She was also a loyal member of the Anawim Community and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Janelee is survived by her children, Janelee G. Winder and Kevin J. Guidry and his wife Doris; grandchildren, Meredith W. Ledet and husband Ben, Candace W. Benoit and husband Bruce, and Melissa W. Hughes and husband David; five great grandchildren; and sister, Barbara D. Babin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford J. Guidry; her parents, James J. Dill and Emma P. Dill; siblings, James H. Dill, Ray F. Dill and Shirley D. Chauvin; and son-in-law Charles P. Winder, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be sent to a charity of your choice in her honor.
