Henry Prejean, Jr.

Henry Whitney Prejean Jr., age 78, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 23, 2021. He was a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation St. Bernadette Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in St. Francis de Sales #2 Cemetery.

Henry is survived by his sons, Donald A. (Laura) Prejean, Jarred P. Prejean, Ryan J. (Laura) Prejean, Brett M. Prejean; daughters, Tammy P. (Daniel) Schales, and Nicole R. Prejean; brothers, Glen Prejean, David (Nettie) Prejean, Keith (Renee) Prejean; sisters, Margaret (Roland) Benoit, and Bern (Dickie) Galiano; sister-in-law, Jennifer Prejean; grandchildren, Morgan (Fiancé, Andrew Johnson) Prejean, Kristen Prejean, Sheridan Prejean, Katie Prejean, Natalie Prejean, Whitney Prejean, Jason Prejean, Wyatt Prejean, Lara Schales, and Ashlynne Schales.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Allemand Prejean; parents, Henry "Meme" Whitney Sr. and Levie Ledet Prejean; brothers, Scuddy Prejean, Lawrence "Larry" Prejean, and John Prejean; sisters, Faye (Melvin) Rochel, and Karen Prejean; sister-in-law, Kathy Prejean; and grandchildren, Brendan Schales and Grant Schales.

Henry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He was a member of the 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus, a former District Deputy, and former Grand Knight. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
