Obituary

Helen Blanchard Savoie, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026, in her hometown of Houma, Louisiana.

For 25 years, Helen served as a secretary at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, where she became a cherished part of the parish community. She later worked at Barker GMC and Honda, bringing her kindness and dedication to each role.

Known for her vibrant spirit, Helen loved music and dancing, keeping up with her favorite soap operas, and shopping on QVC. Her creativity shone through in the way she decorated her home and crafted beautiful wreaths for every holiday. Above all, she treasured time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and the companionship of her beloved dogs.

Helen is survived by her son, Chris Stoufflet; daughters, Nicole Catral (Brian) and Kelly Pertuit (Perry); grandchildren, Casey Catral, Peyton Pertuit, and Riley Pertuit; brother, Dean Blanchard; sister, Theresa Daigle (Tommy); and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Ronald Stoufflet, the father of her children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Blanchard Savoie, and her parents, Millard Blanchard and Belle Grabert Blanchard.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the service at 12:00 PM (noon). Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Helen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her kindness, creativity, and vibrant spirit.
