Obituary

Glynn Patrick Bonvillain, a native of Houma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25th 2026, at the age of 78.

Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Glynn's memory on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma, beginning at 9:15am, until a Memorial Mass at 11am. Christian burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his two children, Brad Glynn Patrick Bonvillain and Kelly Rebecca Pellegrin (Husband, Van Pellegrin); four grandchildren, Alexa Duplantis, Van Paul Pellegrin, Logan Pellegrin and Micah Deville.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lucille Cenac Bonvillain; his parents, Paul Bonvillain and Eunice Boudreaux Bonvillain; and brother, Jackie Bonvillain.

A Graduate of Nicholls State University, Glynn held a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon Business Fraternity. He served his country in the Louisiana National Guard until his Honorable Discharge.

Glynn's business career included a few notable achievements; he was a staff accountant for Brady Diesel and Benoit Machine Shop before becoming a part-owner of Dixie Shipyard, Inc. in 1977.

In 1997, he founded All American Paint & Supply, Inc., a Marine Paints and Coatings Distributor, overseeing the successful operation of both businesses for a total of 70 years.

Glynn was a lifetime parishioner Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

He found fun and camaraderie playing golf as a member of the original Houma Golf Club and Ellendale Country Club, and loved weekend get-togethers and cookouts for watching the Saints, LSU, and golf tournaments.

But his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, always there to support his wife and children in all they did.

Known for his kindness, humor, and unassuming demeanor, Glynn was a beloved caregiver for his father, wife and daughter, always tending to his family with unwavering devotion. His legacy of compassion and warmth was obvious to all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Glynn's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to his heart.
