Gilman found joy in tending to his vegetable garden, which flourished much like the love he cultivated for those around him. Family vacations especially camping with his Halliburton work family and were the highlight of his life, a time to bond and create lasting memories filled with laughter and love. He also enjoyed carving decoys in his later years.

Gilman was married to his beloved wife for 52 years, who he cherished deeply until her passing. With a gentle spirit, he embodied selflessness and compassion, always putting others before himself. He has now reunited with his beloved family who have gone before him, resting peacefully in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In celebration of his life, the family invites you to join them for a public viewing at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church on June 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
