Gary Chruma, age 82, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026.

Gary was a quiet and kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially reading a good book and playing a round of golf. He will be remembered for his gentle nature, quick wit, and the love he had for his family.

Gary shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with his loving wife, Anne. Together, they built a lifetime of memories.

Gary is survived by his wife, Anne Chruma; his grandson, Kelley Chruma, Jr.; and his brother, Doug Chruma (Kim).

He was preceded in death by his sons, Kelley Chruma, Sr. and Jeremy Chruma; his grandchildren, Brittany Chruma and Garrett Chruma; his parents, Leslie Chruma and Helen Jones Chruma; his siblings, Sandra Chruma and Robin Chruma; and his nephew, Robbie Chruma.

Gary will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will always cherish his quiet humor and the memories they shared.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Chapel Dauphine, beginning at 9:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Gary will be laid to rest at St. Francis Cemetery No. 2 following the service.
