Fortunata Gonzalez, 50, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 1, 2022.

A visitation will be held in her honor on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in the Magnolia Chapel at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5 pm until the religious service at 7 pm.

Fortunata is survived by her loving husband, Dixon Vega; children, Edith, Diana, Kany, and Jonathan; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Fernando, Maria de la Luz, Doroteo, Dolores, Azael, and Demetria; and her mother, Alicia.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dora Alicia.

Fortunata was a loving wife and mother who was known for her devotion to her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and shopping. She devoted her life to being a homemaker. She liked to cook and was well-known by friends and family for her home-made Tamales.

She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
