Floyd Edward Guidry Jr, 57, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Shepherd, TX; passed away on July 17, 2026.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life and memorial service on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 9:00am to 11:00am with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma, LA.

Floyd of survived by his loving family; his loving parents, Floyd Edward Guidry Sr. and Elaine Hebert Guidry; daughters, Alexis Guidry (Kamron Lirette), Brooke Guidry (Nacis Theriot), and Ava Guidry; siblings, Crystal Cole and her children, Gabrielle Grubbs(Ty), Christopher Guevara and Nicholas Guevara; and brother, Kevin Guidry (Jessica) and their children, Emma Guidry and Wyatt Guidry; great niece, Kayleigh Guevara and Olivia Guevara; and great nephew, Rory Grubbs.

Floyd is preceded in passing by his maternal grandparents, Leona Barrett and Freddie S. Hebert; paternal grandparents, Elias Guidry and Melvina Guidry; uncle, Barry Barrett;

Floyd was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors. He was a great cook of many Cajun dishes and loved to cook for friends and family. Floyd was known as a very loyal and hard worker who had a great career in the oil and gas industry for over 30 years. Floyd was a devoted father who cherished his three daughters.

The family would like to give thanks to Floyd's dearest friend Terry Terrel and his family for their love and NOV Tuboscope for their support.
