Fay Aucoin Toups, a beloved educator and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on March 22, 1942, in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, she was raised in Napoleonville, LA, and was the daughter of Elict and Louise Aucoin. Fay devoted over 33 years to being a teacher, impacting the lives of countless students throughout the Terrebonne Parish School District.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Fay spent her life serving others. Even after retiring from the classroom, she continued to give of herself with the same compassion that guided her teaching. She worked in the community and with the District Attorney’s Office, offering support and guidance through programs such as drug court, anger management, domestic violence intervention, and parenting classes. She also served as a case manager for families with special needs, walking beside them with understanding and steady encouragement. Fay gave freely of both her time and her heart—always ready to help someone through a difficult season, always faithful to her calling to uplift and care for others. A devoted parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church, she embodied the values of love, service, and commitment to family.

Fay is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Toups Guidry and Tanya Mayeux (Joel); her grandchildren, Brian Guidry (Charisse), Seth Guidry, and Mason Guidry; and her great-grandson, Adonis Guidry. She is also survived by her siblings, Peggy Clement and Garland Aucoin (Jeannie), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Fay is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 43 years, Adonis Toups; her parents, Elict and Louise Aucoin; and her sister, Audrey Aucoin LeBlanc.
