Faron Chatagnier

January 20, 1953 — November 2, 2021

Faron Jude Chatagnier, 68, a native and resident of Houma, La passed away on Tuesday November 2, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and will resume on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Faron is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Brenda Ann Pellegrin Chatagnier; children, Shannon Elstner and companion Wesley, Jamey Chatagnier and wife Kim; grandchildren, Caleb Drake and companion Libby, Logan Elstner, Aden Chatagnier; mother, Oletta Chatagnier; brothers, Edward Chatagnier Jr. and wife Christine, Chad Chatagnier and companion Bert; sister, Sheila Parfait; and numerous extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Chatagnier Sr.

Faron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend that will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He was a Parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church, member of the Knights of Columbus, and board member of the Houma Oilmans Fishing Invitational. He enjoyed going to NASCAR races, NHRA events, as well as fishing, and his pastime of working in his shed on his many projects. He also enjoyed camping with his family and friends.

His family would like to extend a special heartfelt thanks to his doctors and nurses at M.D. Anderson, the staff at The Medical Team, and Heart of Hospice.
