Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evelyn Brunet LeBoeuf, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on August 25, 2026, in her hometown of Houma, Louisiana. Born on March 20, 1939, Evelyn lived a life characterized by simplicity and love, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Evelyn dedicated over two decades of her life to serving the community as a school cook for the Terrebonne Parish School Board. With her warm smile and nurturing spirit, she provided not only meals but also a sense of comfort to countless children. Her humble nature and extraordinary talent as an amazing Cajun cook were legendary among family and friends, as well as her passion for gardening and fishing at the family camp. Many cherished memories were made around her dinner table, and her culinary skills will be fondly remembered. A devout parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Pointe-Aux-Chenes, Evelyn was a spiritual foundation for her family and community. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her quiet demeanor belied a profound strength and resilience that deeply impacted the lives she touched. Evelyn is survived by her devoted daughter, Annette Windham (Michael), loving sons, Don LeBoeuf (Mandy), Teddy LeBoeuf; and will be lovingly remembered by her 7 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren who were fortunate to experience the warmth of her heart and the comfort of her presence; she is also survived by her siblings, Gerald Brunet (Linda), Burt Brunet (Mary), Ruby Ann Pirtle (Claude). She now rests in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband Allen LeBoeuf, Sr. of 49 years, alongside her two sons, Allen LeBoeuf, Jr. and Michael LeBoeuf; great granddaughter, Marijaine LeBoeuf; parents, Theodore Brunet, Ruby Brunet; siblings, Carol Brunet, Daniel Brunet, Rufus Bourg, Joseph Theordore III, Barry Brunet, Yvonne Pitre, Sheryl Nelton, stepbrother, Edward Brunet, stepsister, Joyce Price as she enters the grace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a public viewing, which will be held on August 28, 2026, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Following the viewing, a heartfelt Mass will be celebrated in her honor at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at 12:00 PM, concluding a day of remembrance and celebration of a life beautifully lived. In this time of sorrow, we encourage all who were touched by Evelyn's kindness to reflect on the cherished memories we hold dear. She taught us the value of humility, love, and the joy found in simple pleasures. May we all carry forward her legacy of compassion and grace. The family would like to thank The Oaks of Houma and Dr. Andre Guidry and Brian Matherne for all the care and love over the years.
