Esther Breaux

Esther Gomez Breaux, age 85, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm. She was a native of Livingston, TX and a resident of Houma, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Annunziata Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 beginning at 9:30 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm. Burial will be held in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.

Esther is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leroy Francis Breaux; sons, Christopher P. Breaux and wife, Marilyn, and Kurt N. Breaux and wife, Laurie; daughters, Danette B. Bergeron and husband, Daniel Sr., and Cindy B. Duplantis and husband, Dwayne; brothers, Rufus "Rudy" and Tommy Gomez; grandchildren, Heidi Skoglund, Jenifer Bergeron, Daniel Bergeron Jr., Samantha Price, Jarad Duplantis, Jordan Kelly, Hayden Breaux, Grayson Breaux, Rebekah Breaux, Austin Breaux; great-grandchildren, Stephen, Zachary, Ethan, Bryce, Gavin, Kailei, Addison, Gabriella, Mackenzie, Brooklyn and Aria.

Esther is preceded in death by her son, Stephen L. Breaux; grandchildren, Christian and Tyler Breaux; 3 great-grandchildren; parents, Daniel Sr. and Maria Ortiz Gomez; brothers, Daniel Jr., and Anthony "Tony" Sr. Gomez; sister, Betty Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Molly Gomez.

Esther was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
