Enola Duplantis Bergeron, 91, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday morning, November 20, 2025 at 4:20am. Enola was a native Dulac, LA a resident of Theriot, LA.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and continue at Chauvin Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 9:00am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00am with burial in St. Eloi Church Cemetery, in Theriot, LA.
Enola is survived by her loving family; her children, John J. Bergeron (Melanie), Emma Deroche (Carlton "Tee" ), Ann Hooks (Robert), Christine Cherry (David), Ellen Madere (Rene), Linette Champagne (Russell Authement), Steven Bergeron, Joan Bergeron (Ned Gautreaux); seventeen grandchildren, Kasey, Jamie, Christopher, Nicole, Chad, Camee, Kimberly, Ben, Mitchell, Nick, Brandon, Courtney, Jeffery, Haley, Michael, Logan, and Erin; eighteen great-grandchildren, Jase, Jax, Aimee, Chad Jr., Gabriel, Kristen Richard, Matthew, Kade, Khloe, Bentley, Brooks, Beau, Charlotte, Isabella, David Koldys III "Trey", and Harlan; three sisters, Rosella Pellegrin, Hazel Lottinger, Julia Ezell; sister-in-law, Arlene Smith, and special friend and caregiver, Earline Boudreaux.
Enola is preceded in passing by her husband, Godfrey Bergeron Sr.; parents, Dulvia Duplantis and Elsie Thibodeaux; son, Godfrey Bergeron Jr., three grandsons, Jonathan Toups, Eli Champagne, Joey Duplantis; brother, Larry Duplantis Sr., and sister, Florence Portier; two sons-in-law, David Champagne and Glenn Toups; and daughter-in-law, Jennie Bergeron.
Enola was an active member of St. Eloi Church, The Ladies Alter Society, KofC Ladies Auxiliary. Enola had a special gift for growing beautiful flowers which she would share with all her friends and family.
She had an unwavering faith in Jesus. He was the foundation of her life and she was a source of strength for all who knew her.
The family would like to extend a special thanks the doctors and staff at Terrebonne General, the staff at Heritage Manor, and a special thanks to Haydel Memorial Hospice.
