Elie Joseph Pellegrin, 70, a native and resident of Houma, LA; passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 4:16am.

Family and friends of the family are invited to a visitation and celebration of life on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm. A private burial will take place by the family at a later date.

Elie is survived by his loving family; his children, Candace Pellegrin, and Elliott Pellegrin (Loretta); siblings, James Pellegrin, Clara Boudreaux, Harry Pellegrin, Wiltz Pellegrin, Annie Pellegrin, Mack Pellegrin, Bruce Pellegrin; grandchildren, Logan Pellegrin, Maddie Pellegrin; and godchildren, Lucille Hidalgo. He is also survived by his little pet companion, Max.

Elie is preceded in passing by his parents, James and Ada Marie Pellegrin; siblings, Albert Pellegrin, Mary Pellegrin, and Josephine Doris Pellegrin.

Elie loved to fish and hunt and spending time at the camp in Mississippi. He enjoyed sitting on his swing while smoking his cigar and feeding the squirrels. But most especially spending time with his family. He enjoyed eating lunch with his family; which was a tradition they all loved. Elie was a jokester and always had a story to tell. He loved playing poker on Tuesday nights with his friends. Elie never met a stranger and he always enjoyed talking to family and friends.

Elie was a 3rd degree member with the Knights of Columbus Council #7722. He was a member for over twenty years.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and hospice at Ochsners in New Orleans, LA and Mary Bird Perkins in Houma, LA.
