Earline Rebecca Courmier Picone

Earline Rebecca Courmier Picone, age 79, a native of Orange, TX and resident of Houma, LA, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025.

Earline is survived by her children, George “Joey” Picone and Michelle Picone; her grandchildren, Brittani Lirette (Matt) and TJ Martinez; her great-grandchildren, Quinn and Ryann Lirette; and her sister, Linda Himel (Tim).

Earline was preceded in passing by her husband, George Anthony Picone; her parents, Earl Edward Courmier and Clara Mae Jackson Courmier; her brothers, Earl “Junior” and Anthony “Tony” Courmier; and her sister, Wanda Leport.

Earline was a lover of literature, poetry, and choral music. She enjoyed reading, science fiction, murder mysteries, cooking and baking, especially with her grandchildren. Working on family genealogy and gardening also brought her joy. She retired from the Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office. Earline was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed, fondly remembered, and loved forever.

The family would like to thank the staff at Terrebonne Place Assisted Living and Haydel Memorial Hospice for their loving care.
