It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dudley Patrick Blanchard, who left this world on February 9, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on March 14, 1934, in Gray, Louisiana, Dudley was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and unwavering love for his family.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever on Friday, February 27, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis cemetery No. 2.
Dudley was a devoted Catholic and found joy and purpose in nurturing the bonds with his loved ones, sharing his passion for the outdoors through fishing, hunting, and yearly trips with his daughters.
Dudley is survived by his beloved daughters; Kathy Higginbotham (Marcus), Jean Blanchard and Tina Nolfo (David), his cherished grandchildren, Chad Blanchard, Lacy Reynolds, Megan Louis, and Jacob Nolfo, and his 7 great-grandchildren, along with two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Francis Bourgois, Lloyd Blanchard, Russel Blanchard, and Danny Blanchard. Dudley rejoices in the reunion with his late spouse, Merle Blanchard, and brother, June Blanchard, as well as his parents, Wilmer, and Aline Blanchard, who preceded him in death.
Dudley Patrick Blanchard's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him, as his life was a testament to the values of hard work, devotion, and unyielding love for family.
