Doyel Whited

Doyel Gene Whited, age 65, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Doyel was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Houma.

Doyel is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathy Valure Whited; sons, Joe Whited, Gene Whited; daughter, Thea Whited; grandchildren, Jared Whited, Chastity Whited, and Sean Covel; brother, Ricky Whited and wife Mary Carmen.

Doyel is preceded in death by his parents, Rondal and Mary Ford Whited; brother, Gary Whited.

Doyel leaves a beautiful family behind. He was blessed to have been married to the love of his live, Kathy. He loved his three children and grandchildren dearly. Doyel received a bachelor’s degree psychology and social work. He enjoyed repairing watches and engaging in conversations. Doyel proudly served our country in the U.S. Army.
