Donald Paul Webre, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on May 16, 1953, in Houma, Louisiana, Donald dedicated much of his life to his work as an offshore crane operator in the oilfield, where he spent around 45 years before retiring.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at St. Francis Cathedral from 9:30 AM until service time at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery #2.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rhonda Dupre Webre; children, Kevin Webre (Hayley), and Allison Dupre (Lynn); grandchildren, Landon and Austin Dupre; siblings, Richard Webre Sr. (Freddie), Kathleen Unbehagen, David Webre (Janet), Rose Geiger (Benjamin), Jeanie Webre, Judy Wilson (Tom), Ruth Cologne (Barry); brother-in-law, Wayne Dupre (Mae); sister-in-law Wynona Ledet (Nolan); godchildren, Richard Webre Jr., Cydni Benoit, Hershel Spikes, Brett Geiger, and Blaine Ockerman.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Florence Webre; in-laws Whitney and Eunice Dupre; brother-in-laws, Wayne Unbehagen, Rudy Dupre and Audie Dupre; sister-in-law, Juanita Dupre; godchild Leslie Stansel.
A passionate fisherman, Donald cherished the time spent shrimping with his brother, Richard. He was known for his love of sports, where he not only enjoyed watching events but also attended games to support his favorite teams. His family was his greatest joy; he held a deep affection for his children and grandchildren, who brought endless happiness into his life.
A true lover of life, Donald eagerly anticipated his yearly trip to Cruising the Coast with Wayne and Fragile, which brought him much joy and many cherished memories.
Donald was often seen with a toothpick between his lips, a cherished quirk that friends and family will fondly remember as part of his unique personality.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
