Donald "Donnie" Norred

Donnie Roy Norred, 80, passed away at 4:01PM on December 27, 2017. He was a native of Rodessa, LA and a resident of Houma, LA for sixty-seven years.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Christ Baptist Church in Houma, LA from 9:00AM until service time. Funeral Services will begin after visitation on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00AM. A private burial will be held by the family at a later date.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Shirley Adkins Norred; children Holly Champagne and husband Chester, Sharon Boudreaux, Ray “Boo” Boudreaux III and wife Cindy; seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; sister, Deloris Felarise and husband Roland.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Norred and Lucille Norred Bogan; step-father, William Bogan; brother, William Bogan Jr.

Donnie was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Terrebonne High School. He was the first King of Hercules Carnival Club. Donnie coached local youth basketball for over 32 years. He was a DIEHARD LSU FAN and an avid golfer. Donnie was the original owner of Tarpon Rentals, Inc. Donnie was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed, always loved; and NEVER forgotten.
