A private memorial will be held by the family.

Desiree is survived by her husband, Thomas Adam Billiot; children, Nate' Henry (Robert), Adam Billiot, Arielle Billiot; grandchildren, Alexia Richards (Austin), Amber Henry, Ashton Henry, Arynn Henry; great-grandson, Brylon; great-granddaughter, Noa; brother, William Bertoniere; sister, Laurie Doherty.

Desiree is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Joseph Bertoniere, Sr. and Linda Irwin Bertoniere; brother, Lawrence Joseph Bertoniere, Jr.

Desiree was a dedicated homemaker who cherished her family above all. Together with her husband for 50 years, they shared a bond that was exemplified by their mutual love for each other and their many adventures together. They created countless memories, particularly enjoying visits to various plantations together.

Desiree lived a life full of passion and joy. She was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints, and her home was a testament to her unwavering support, filled with memorabilia that told the story of her dedication to the team. When she wasn't celebrating game days, she delighted in watching her favorite shows, including General Hospital and various cooking programs. A passionate cook, she created meals that brought her family together, fostering a sense of love and unity through her culinary artistry.

In addition to her love for family and friends, Desiree had a profound affection for animals, owning a variety of unique pets over the years. Her compassion and love extended to all living beings, making her home a place of warmth and kindness.
