Debra Kay James, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, at the age of 69 in Houma, Louisiana.
Born in New Mexico to parents, Clifford Davison and Oletta Farnan Case, a native of Fort Smith, Arkansas and resident of Houma, Louisiana. She brought joy, fun and laughter to everyone she met.
Debi was a Christian and loved Sunday family gatherings with her grandchildren and family. She was a Saints fan and loved gathering with her friends to cheer them on. Known for her strong will and can-do attitude, she was always quick to help anyone she met. She was a devoted mother to her sons and amazing grandmother to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Franklin James; her children, Michael Robinson, Jr. (Melissa), Dayton Robinson and Rebecca Robinson; her grandchildren, Brianna, Logan and Julianna Robinson and Piper O’Sullivan; her siblings, Gary Davison, Lesa Case and Suzie Case; her nieces and nephews, Kristy and Dale Dikeman, Tweet James, Jaclyn and Hershel Hice, Danny Morris, Jr., and Jordan Morris, who will all miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Robinson, Sr.; and her brothers, Gary James and Dwight James.
A service will be held on February 23, 2026, at Chauvin Funeral Home, in Magnolia Chapel from 10:00a.m. until 11:00a.m.
