David Michael Songe, Jr.

David Michael Songe, Jr., age 47, passed away Thursday August 18, 2022. He was a native and longtime resident of Theriot, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Matthews Episcopal Church Wednesday August 24, 2022 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Eloi cemetery.

David is survived by the love of his life, Shantele Daisy Songe; children, Brendan Michael Daisy, Conner Matthew Daisy, Carsyn Toby Songe; parents, David Michael Songe, Sr. and Sharon Quick Songe; brother, Philip Michael Songe; mother-in-law, Shirley Daisy; father-in-law, Allen Marcel, Jr.; grandmother, Pearl Hebert Quick.

David is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Michael Songe; brother-in-law, Toby Matthew Daisy; father-in-law, Buddy Daisy; grandfathers, Hebert Quick, Bruce Songe; grandmother, Velma Boudreaux.

David was one of a kind. He lived his life to the fullest and worked hard for his family. David loved his family with his whole heart. His boys were his whole world and he did and done everything that he could for them. Shantele and David had a one-of-a-kind relationship and no matter what happened they always found their way back to each other. He never met a stranger and had many friends. David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David’s favorite pastime was enjoying a HOT Budlight and talking to anyone who would listen.
