Chester was a loving and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy serving in WWII and Korean War from February 1945 to February 1953. After his time in the service Chester moved to West Texas to work in the oil field where he met his West Texas bride Evelyn. Chester continued to work in the oilfield until he retired at age 82 as President of Big C Consultants. Chester’s passion was hunting and fishing which is why he moved his family to Terrebonne Parish in 1960. He and Evelyn raised their family in Houma, Louisiana. They were both committed to their children, grandchildren and they absolutely adored their great-grandchildren. They’re home was always open for a wonderful visit and was sure to include something to eat, lots of laughter, and great big hugs. Chester left many legacies with his family, but his greatest was with his entire family watching, he accepted Christ and was baptized in his bed at age 94. His family had prayed for this for decades.
