Charles Pellegrin, Jr.

Charles “Charlie” Joseph Pellegrin Jr., age 79, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 8, 2021. He was a native of Grand Caillou and a resident of Raceland, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, October 14, 2021, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Margaret Portier Pellegrin; son, Jai A. Pellegrin and wife, Meghan; daughter, Wanda P. Barrero and husband, Tony, and Dawn P. Bonnette; brothers, Eulan, Adrian and wife, Beth, and Terry and wife, Sandra Pellegrin; sisters, JeanEllen "Marie" P. Dubois, and Ramona P. Lacroix and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Jonathan Spano, Carly Spano, Kourtlyn Bonnette, and Arianna Acosta; and great-grandchild, Cooper Wurm.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Joseph Sr. and Justillain Marie Avet Pellegrin; and brother-in-law, Ray Dubois; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Charlie was parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, listening to country music, and preaching to his children. He loves spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.
