Chad Babin

Chad James Babin, 63, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 7:10pm. Chad was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Family and friends of the family are invited to visitation on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00am until service time.  Funeral services will follow visitation at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial following in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma, LA.

Chad is survived by his loving wife of twenty-nine years; Melba Robertson Babin; grand-daughter, Kaydee Godwin; step-son, Robert Godwin; siblings, Holly Daquana and husband Joseph, Wendy Babin.  Chad is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Chad is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Audrey Pontiff Babin; brother Brent Babin; paternal grandparents, Ellen and Norris Babin; maternal grandparents, Ray and Elsie Pontiff.

Chad was a huge outdoorsman. He loved to fish and enjoyed anything outdoors. Chad was a gifted cook and all enjoyed his gumbo.  He also had a green thumb and could grow any kind of plant.   

Chad dedicated his life to his family; especially his wife and grand-daughter.

Chad will always be remembered by all the loves he touched through his life. He will always and forever be loved.
