Cecil Champagne

Cecil C. Champagne passed away on August 21, 2025 at the age of 91. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA.

Visitation and services will be on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Chauvin Funeral Home from 10:00am to service time. Liturgy of the Word service will begin on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial to take place on a later date.

Cecil is survived by his children, Kenneth and wife Monna, Karl and wife Sonya, and Daniel (Danny); a sister, Sylvia Martiniez; sister-in-law, Brunella Price, brother-in-law, Milton Scott; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; and numerious nieces and nephews.

Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Evella Champagne; son, Kersey; his parents, Clarence and Adine Champagne; and five sisters, Adeliade Boquet, Olen Picou, Enid Gilbert, Nancy Guidroz, and Veronica Fournier.

Cecil loved to fish and hunt, and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps.
