Obituary

Carol Marie Pellegrin LeBoeuf, born on January 21, 1934, in Chauvin, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2026, at the age of 92. A lifelong resident of Houma, Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on September 5, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Julene LeBoeuf Boudreaux; her grandchildren, Jaeda Crosby (Patrick), Hunter Boudreaux (Jordan), Daralyn Cavaness, and Andrew Cavaness (Darcey); her great-granddaughters, Renata Rose and Josephine Claire Boudreaux; her sister, JoAnn Pellegrin Donovan; her brother, Dean Pellegrin; her son-in-law, Daron Cavaness; and her sisters-in-law, Brenda Martin and Frances Pellegrin.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Julius LeBoeuf; her daughter, Gwendolyn Cavaness; her parents, Willis and Jessie Dupre; her sister, Gail Rhodes (Leroy); her brothers, Lawrence Pellegrin (Dorothy), Claude Pellegrin (Dot), Merlin Pellegrin (Barbara), Willis Pellegrin, and Clark Pellegrin; and her brother-in-law, Mike Donovan.

Carol was a good wife to Julius and a dedicated mother to her daughters, Julene and Gwen. She adored her grandchildren — Jaeda, Hunter, and Daralyn — and her great-granddaughters, Ren and Josie. A hardworking woman, Carol spent much of her life as a wife, mother, clerk, and sitter. She was a devout Catholic and a Eucharistic minister at St. Bernadette, and she was chosen Catholic Daughter of the Year. She always loved family get-togethers and cooking, forever wanting to feed everyone. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and wreath making.

We will miss her dearly, especially her daughter Julene and little sister JoAnn.

A special thanks to all the nurses and staff at ACG Hospice and Chateau Terrebonne Nursing Home for all their care and compassion.
