Brenda Corneille Bellanger, born on May 22, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center in Houma, Louisiana.
Throughout her life, Brenda found joy in simple pleasures. She had a passion for visiting the casino, where she would spend hours caught up in the excitement of games and the thrill of it. Her love for playing bingo often brought family and friends together, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and friendly competition. Because of her culinary skills, she was also known for her delightful cooking, often sharing her delicious creations with those she loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy B. Dwyer and her husband, Kem of Opelousas; her sons, George M. Bellanger, Jr. of Houma, John J. Bellanger of Houma and Jarette C. Bellanger and his companion, Hallie Cormier of Sunset; her brothers, Malcom J. Monroe of Houma and Floyd F. Monroe of Houma; her sister, Linda C. Bertrand of Church Point; and her 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, George Bellanger, Sr.; her life companion, Tommy Robichaux; her parents, John and Eula Corneille; and her beloved dog, Robo, who she loved dearly.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
