Bobby Denson, Sr., age 88, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and resident of Gray, passed away on July 6, 2026.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Joyce Whitfield Denson; his children, Bobby Denson, Jr. (Renee), Carrie Denson Smith (Steven), Dena Denson Duplantis (Ken), Shannah Denson, Kenneth Duke and Theresa Morgan; his grandchildren, Beau, Sean, Kyle, Kenneth, Randi, Erica, Paul and Toby, Kenneth Justin, Brandy, Danielle and Stephen; his great-grandchildren, Lucas, Jonah, Wyatt, Eli, Lillie, Demi, Noah, Paxton, Riley, Duncan, Reagan, Parker, Bryson, Camden, Braden, Hayes, Caleb, Taylor, Gavin, Chad, Ryan, Rhys, Declan and Liam; his siblings, Rickey Denson, Becky Schmidt, Donnie Denson, Patsy Dupre and Vickie McKay.

Bobby was preceded in passing by his parents, Floyd Denson and Hazel Steele Denson; his siblings, Phil Denson and Ronnie Denson.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Bobby on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Chauvin Funeral Home, in Magnolia Chapel, beginning at 9:00a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00a.m. Bobby will be laid to rest in St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Bobby had several business in Houma, but most people know him from his furniture business. He loved to spend time outside in his yard, being on his tractor and cutting his grass. He was known to always carry around candy in his pockets. He loved to take care of his fruit trees and would donate most of his fruit to nursing homes.
