Beulah Giroir Rodrigue

Beulah Giroir King Claverie Rodrigue went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 16, 2026. She was born on January 21, 1929 in Gibson, LA to the late Lenus Giroir Sr. and Adelia Guidry.

She lived in her beloved Houma her entire life up until the last three years when her health began to fade. She was a graduate of Terrebonne High School and nursing training at Charity Hospital. She was a self-employed seamstress, bookkeeper- Citizens National Bank, Terrebonne Parish School Board, and LaTerre; and former owner of Chez Lilli Bridal.

She was incredibly active in her community serving on the vestry, school board, and E.C.W. at St. Matthews Episcopal Church; VFW, Marine Corps League, American Legion, National Bridal Services, Women's Business Alliance, Houma Chamber of Commerce, Terrebonne Historical Society, Terrebonne H.S. Alumni Assn., Republican National Comm., Downtown Development Corp, and Houma Elks Lodge where she served as Exalted Ruler and State President.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lenus Giroir Jr and E.T. Giroir; daughter Gwendolyn Marie King, husbands William T. King Sr, Norman J. Claverie, and Anthony J. Rodrigue.

Survivors include sisters Janelle Bonvillain(Gerald-deceased) and Carmelite Leonard; sons William T. King Jr.(Kim) and Lenus King(Sharon); daughter Stephanie Hodgin(Hank), stepsons Frances Rodrigue(Linda) Mike Rodrigue(Wendy), and A.J. Rodrigue(Susan-deceased); stepdaughters Therese Scott(Ronnie), Annette Hodges(Rusty), and Michelle Henry(Mark); grandsons Erik(Andi) Hodgin, Stephen(Tasha) Hodgin and Jeremy Traylor; granddaughters Lauren(Brad) King, Gwen White, Adrian(Rob) Keller, Kelsey(Mark) Ortiz and Kristi(Michael) Hopkins; great granddaughters Lena King, Braylynn and Remi Keller, Ellie White, Penelope and Isla Hodgin, Adelia Ortiz, Trinity and Seven Hart; great grandsons Harrison Hodgin, Nash King, Carter and Hayes White, Atlas Ortiz, and Isaiah Hart.

The real joy of her life was her family. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 28 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Houma, LA. Visitation is 9:00-11:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m., graveside in Magnolia Cemetery, and reception at the church.
