Obituary

Betty Leboeuf Cathcart, 88, of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026. Born on March 26, 1938, in Chauvin, Louisiana, Betty lived a life full of love, warmth, and a joy that touched everyone around her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, June 20, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held directly following in St. Elie Cemetery.

Betty had a gift for friendship. She made friends wherever she went, and her warm, generous spirit was felt by all who knew her. She was known for her big hugs - you got one when you arrived and another when you left. Her heart was as big as her love for her family, and she would go out of her way to help anyone in need. Throughout her life, she was also a dedicated caregiver to some of her loved ones, a testament to her selfless and giving nature.

Music was a lifelong passion that she happily shared with anyone willing to listen alongside her. She had the joy of traveling and seeing the entirety of the United States, a treasure she held close to her heart. She loved to shop, had a particular fondness for shoes, and was never shy about wearing bright, bold colors that reflected her vibrant and unique personality.

Betty is survived by her two brothers, Bert Leboeuf Sr. and his spouse Connie Leboeuf, and Michael Leboeuf; her children, Ann and Todd Iuen, Cary and Denise Theriot, and Teresa and Bart Boudreaux; her four grandchildren, Matthew Iuen, Skyler Iuen, Ani Boudreaux, and James Theriot; her great-grandchild, Mason Iuen; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elry and John Leboeuf, and her sister, Elaine Rodrigue. Elaine's beloved husband, Mack Rodrigue Sr., survives her.
