Betty Lou Blanchard, 92, a native of Larose, LA and a resident of Lockport, LA passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 10:25am.

Betty Lou is survived by her loving family, son, Barry Blanchard and wife Martha; daughters, Annette Cheramie and husband Farrel, Lisa Serbin and husband Tim; ten loving grandchildren and many loving great grandchildren and numerous loving great-great grandchildren.

Betty Lou is preceded in passing by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Earl Blanchard; parents, Justillien and Augusta T. Orgeron; siblings, Maggie, Francis, Marie, Albert, Annabelle, Emelda, Norman, Jimmy, and Herman.

Betty loved to crochet, and also make fudge and popcorn for her neighbors and friends. Her favorite treats were Hershey bars and ice cream. She was a wonderful caregiver to many of her family in their time of need. Betty Lou was loving mother, wife, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother.

Betty was a devoted and faithful Christian who Loved Jesus.
