Betty Cressonie Babin, age 80, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Betty is survived by her son, Terry Joseph Babin, Jr, (Andrea); her daughters, Stacy Clement (Craig) and Wendy Guerrero (David); her grandchildren, Dr. Brooke C. Kistler (Cody), Craig P. Clement, Jr. (Stephanie), Taylor Babin Duval (Lenny), Ethan Joseph Babin, Zoe Ophelia Babin, Noah David Guerrero, Jenna Guerrero and Alyse Guerrero; her great-grandchildren, Molly, Ember and Audley Duval, Camila Clement and Rory Kistler; her brothers, Whitney Cressonie and Ronnie Cressonie; and her sisters, Rockie Lee Gros and Dorothy Thomas.
Betty was preceded in passing by her husband, Terry Joseph Babin, Sr.; her parents, Harry George Cressonie and Blanche Matherne Cressonie; her brother, Herbert Cressoine; and her sisters, Bessie C. Guidry, Mary C. Cheramie, Pearl C. Champagne and Nellie C. Livesey.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Betty on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary from 9:00a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00a.m. Betty will be laid to rest in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.Faith and family were the two most important things in Betty's life. She was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church where she was a member of the altar society. At Holy Rosary she and her family members celebrated multiple weddings, baptisms, and other sacraments. Visiting with her large family was always a great source of joy. Betty had a truly loving marriage of 44 years with her late husband. Her children and grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Betty loved south Louisiana culture and history. She especially enjoyed participating in Mardi Gras celebrations as a member of the Krewe of Aphrodite for many years. She also loved music, especially by her favorite singer Elvis Presley.Chauvin Finera; Home is honored to serve the family of Betty Ann Babin.
