It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Ann Bergeron, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on August 6, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on December 29, 1940, in Houma, Louisiana, Betty was a lifelong resident of this vibrant community where she made countless memories and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.

As a dedicated homemaker, Betty poured her love into her family. In 1991, she passionately represented her community as a councilwoman for the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Council. Betty was also a co-owner of Surbo Tubular Services.

Betty is survived by her children, Billy Bergeron (Nadjah), Belinda Bergeron, Bridget Foret (John), and Becky Hohensee (Garret), and her brother Dean Naquin (Ramone). The light of her life was reflected in her grandchildren (her granddaughter Isabella Bergeron and 7 grandsons Bobby Foret, Brooks Bergeron, Lance Lapeyrouse, Lee Brian Lapeyrouse, Gabe Hohensee, Hayden Hohensee, and Jack Hohensee) and her great-grandchildren: Hugh, Bennie, Jane, and Grant. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, resilience, and kindness.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert Joseph Bergeron, and her beloved parents Andrew and Alrine Naquin.

Betty's funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA on Tuesday, August 11, with a visitation starting at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at St. Elie Cemetery.
