Barney Callahan

Barney James Callahan, 69, a native of Houma, LA and resident of Thibodaux, LA passed on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 12:03pm.

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, December 2, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral from 9:30am until service time. A Liturgy will begin on Monday, December 2, 2024 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral at 11:00am with burial following service in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Barney is survived by his loving family; his children, son, Travis Callahan and wife Anya, daughter, Krista Callahan; brothers, Mark Callahan and wife, and Reed Callahan and wife; step-daughter, Rachael Hines; step-grandchildren, and his companion, Alice Coleman Kliebert.

Barney is preceded in passing by his wife, Donna Callahan and his parents, Sidney and Elaine Dupont Callahan.

Barney enjoyed hunting, and fishing. He was a very active member of the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Barney also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was an excellent father and great friend to many. His love for his family and friends will live on in the memories they share.

Barney will will always be remembered, never forgotten and always and forever loved.
