Barbara Lirette LeCompte

Barbara Lirette LeCompte, age 77, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was a native of Little Caillou and a longtime resident of Bourg.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Ann Catholic Church on Friday, December 30, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Christopher LeCompte, Sr.; sons, Christopher LeCompte, Jr. and wife Denise, Randal LeCompte and wife Becky, and Timothy LeCompte and wife Tanya; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by a niece and nephew.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Bagley and Nolia Landry Lirette; sister, Lizzie Mae Pellegrin; brother-in-law, Lee Pellegrin, Sr.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending quality time with them. She also loved feeding hummingbirds, camping, gardening, and watching nature. Barbara was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church for many years and loved praying the rosary. She leaves a beautiful legacy behind to be reunited with her family who passed before her. She has graciously accepted the hand of her Lord and rests in his heavenly arms.
