Anita Ann Moore LaRose, age 81, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

Anita is survived by her husband, Ellis J. LaRose; her sons, Paul B. LaRose (Sandra) and Matthew E. LaRose; her daughter, Ellen L. Baudoin (Russell); her grandchildren, Sarah B. Forsythe (Blake), Philip Baudoin, Madeline B. LeCompte (John), Allison LaRose, Michael LaRose and Anna Claire LaRose; her step-grandchildren, Maya Rivera and Dayne Rivera; her great-grandchildren, Mia, Lane and Sophia; her brother, Thomas E. Moore; her sister, Linda M. Cortez; several nieces and nephews.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, William E. Moore, Jr. and Annette M. Dugas; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Y. LaRose.

Anita was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She taught at Terrebonne High School for 35 years where she touched the lives of so many students whom she continued to mentor well after graduation. She was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association. When she wasn’t teaching, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and tending to her garden. Anita, also known as Grammy to her grandchildren, loved celebrating the holidays with her family, and many memories and family traditions started by Grammy will forever be cherished.

A Memorial Visitation will be held in honor of Mrs. Anita on Monday, September 25, 2023 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home in Dauphine Chapel.
