Alvin Blanchard

Alvin “Lut Lut” “Black” Francis Blanchard, Sr., 77, died May 2, 2017 at 11:30 PM.  He was a native and a resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 5 PM until 9 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife 45 years, Sandra Marie Browder Blanchard; sons, Alvin F. Blanchard, Jr. and wife, Melissa, Todd M. Blanchard and wife, Leah, and Keith E. Blanchard; daughters, Robin B. Nance and husband, Billy, Julie B. Triche, and April B. Chauvin and husband, Ronnie; brothers, Newton “Blackie” and wife, Opal, Terry and wife, Gloria, and Danny “Butch” and wife, Gail; sisters, Delta Mae LeBoeuf, Gaynelle Hutchinson, Sherry Boquet and husband, Ronald, and Donna Lee Brunet; brothers-in-law, Dennis Dupre, William Marshall, and Amos Hebert; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Lance Blanchard; daughter, Tammy Blanchard; parents, Alvard and Sadie LeBouef Blanchard; brother, Kirby Blanchard; sisters, Mernelle Dupre, Alvina Guidry and husband, Loris, Patsy Marshall, Marliene Blanchand, and Letty Ann Hebert; son-in-law, Gerald Triche; brothers-in-laws, Lucius LeBoeuf, and Jeffery Hutchinson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and very skilled with his hands. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Blanchard Family.
