Aljean Ledet Jr., 58, of Chauvin, LA, entered his eternal rest on March 25, 2026. Born on January 24, 1968, in Houma, LA, Aljean was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend whose warm spirit touched the lives of many.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 10:00 AM till time of the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin, LA.
To cherish Aljean's memory is his loving wife of 30 years, Shanna Fanguy Ledet; his beloved daughter, Lindsey Ledet; and his mother, Barbara Boudreaux Ledet, his sisters; Cindy Bergeron (Danny) and Cheryl Ledet (Blake Parfait), along with his nephews, Lance and Taylor Bergeron, and Dylan Barnes and his in-laws, Claude and Kate Fanguy. He has been reunited in Heaven with his father, Aljean Ledet, Sr.
Aljean was known for his playful and teasing personality, capturing hearts with his infectious laughter. A hardworking man, he found joy in tinkering in his shed and was always on the lookout for his next project. He was a grass-cutting enthusiast who took great pride in his yard and often kept his family entertained with his antics. Above all, Aljean was a devoted father who always worried about his "BooBoo" (Lindsey), showcasing his deep love and commitment to his family.
The community of Chauvin will greatly miss Aljean's presence, and the family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the Little Caillou Fire Department, the Chauvin Community and all of the family and friends and Hunter Golson at Chauvin Funeral Home for their unwavering support during this difficult time.
