Alice was a humble, kind and faith-filled woman, never seeking the spotlight. She found great joy in her family and giving of her time and talents to various organizations. She was a tireless nursing home volunteer, working for over 35 years in the beauty shop. Alice spent countless hours making pralines and donating the proceeds to various organizations. Her pralines were a local favorite, and someone once said that she "could make magic in a pot." Alice and Carroll owned and operated La Maison De Vin, one of Houma's earliest wine and cheese shops.
Alice was an avid bowler for years, participating in many leagues and gathering lots of friends along the way. She loved Terrebonne Parish and Grand Isle, Louisiana, where she spent many summers growing up, and later with her children and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Earline, Darlene and Katie; the staffs of Haydel Memorial Hospice and the Homestead Assisted Living; and Doctors Dickie and Scott Haydel and their staff.
