Albert "Al" Cunningham, Jr.

Albert “Al” J. Cunningham, Jr, 68, a native and resident of Houma, La, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 4:35 a.m. with his family by his side.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the church with burial to follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park.

Al is survived by his spouse of 40 years, Evelyn Henry Cunningham; daughters, Angel Maria Cunningham of Houma, Melinda Boudreaux Hurlburt and husband Jon; brothers,

Glynn J. and wife Sue and Daniel and wife Tammy Cunningham; brothers-in-law, Nolan Chaisson and Larry Wooley; five grandchildren, Alex Thibodeaux and husband Anthony, Jade Cunningham, Ashley Boudreaux Porche and husband Eric, Gavin Hurlburt and Brooke Hurlburt and five great grandchildren and fifteen nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Sr., and Edith Guidry Cunningham; grandson, Michael Wayne Boudreaux and sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Chaisson and Carol Wooley.

Al worked in the Oilfield for 46 ½ years and was a member of the Krewe of Terraneans. He loved his family, friends and traveling and was a Saints and LSU fan.

Al was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Church,.
