Emile Joseph Rodrigue, 81, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Chauvin, died at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Bisland Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Mary LeBouef Rodrigue of Chauvin; three sons, Steve Joseph Rodrigue, Felton Charles Rodrigue and wife, Sandra, and Roy Joseph Rodrigue; two daughters, Frances Ann Rodrigue and Beulah Josephine R. Nelton and husband, Alley Sr.; one brother, Claude Joseph Rodrigue and wife, Rosebelle; one sister, Tina R. Crochet and husband, Ernest Sr.; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mentor Joseph Rodrigue and Fabiolia Justine Neal Rodrigue; one son, Elgin Joseph Rodrigue Sr.; one grandson, James Joseph Nelton Sr.; two brothers Paul and John Rodrigue Sr.; and three sisters, Mayola R. Trahan, Leola R. Brunet and Viola R. Dupre.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
