Jean McCormick Edmonson, 90, a native of Magnolia, Miss., and resident of Houma, died at 11:09 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at First United Methodist Church. Religious Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice Dugan of Houma; one brother, Joe McCormick of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Rick Franco, David Franco, James Dugan, Kelly Dugan, Baylis Edmonson III and Stacey Domangue; and five great-grandchildren, Jarred McCarley, Steven Dugan, Brooke Dugan, James Dugan III and Brenn Fontana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Edmonson Sr.; her parents, Edward and Alice King McCormick; one son, R.B. Edmonson Jr.; one daughter, Elizabeth Edmonson Franco; three brothers, Jim, Phillip and Edward McCormick; four sisters, Mary McCormick, Christine M. Lord, Edith M. Steiner and Alice M. Jennings.
She was a homemaker, a member of Ellendale Country Club Women’s Golf Association, and a board member of Houma Police Jury. She volunteered her time delivering Meals on Wheels.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
