Mara Margaret Mailander Currie, 81 died, Tuesday, December 7, 2010. She was a native of Waco, TX and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 9:00 AM until service time at Grace Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery. She was survived by her husband, Tom L. Currie, Houma, LA daughters, Mara Kathy Guidry and husband Lester, Houma, LA, Debra Colwart and husband Michael, Little Caillou, LA grandchildren, Tommy Guidry and Courtney Babin Boudreaux, great grandchildren, Seth and Sebastian Porche, Jade Guidry, Chloe Boudreaux, Kaleb Guidry, Sean Boudreaux, Abby Guidry, Kenner Boudreaux She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Melvin Mailander and Mary Maude Ard Mailander She retired from Saia Motor Freight. She was a parishioner of St. Matthews Episcopal Church She was a Vista volunteer and a published author, a jewelry designer and an artist. She volunteered at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
