Morgan Joseph Authement, Sr., 92, a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Houma, LA died Monday, November 22, 2010. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and from 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by wife of 70 years: Lorita Bourg Authement Sons: Morgan Authement, Jr. and wife Martha of Chauvin, LA, Kenneth Authement of Houma, LA Daughters: Bertha DeRoche of Gray, LA, Lisa Lazo and husband Richie of Leauge City, Texas Grandchildren: Tammy Tomboli, Melissa Porche, Terry Authement, Jr., Sonja Usry, Michael Authement, Kendall Authement, Kimberly Brien, Luke Lazo 14 Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Granddaughter, Ava Soileau. He was preceded in death by Parents: Arthur Authement and Lucy Naquin Authement Sons: Terry Authement, Sr., Infant Wayne Authement Daughter: Infant Cynthia Authement Brothers: Faquard Authement, Axon Authement Sisters: Leona A. Dupre, Lottie A Lirette He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He worked for Texaco as a platform worker and a security guard for Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Department. He was also a self employed fisherman. He enoyed gardening, spending time with family and dancing. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or your favorite charity.
