Emma Lea Marie Lottinger, 96, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2010.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery No. 1.
She is survived by one brother, Allen Joseph Lottinger and wife, Colette Moreau Lottinger of Luling; and her nieces and nephews, Robert Lottinger Jr., Richard Lottinger Sr., Catherine Lottinger, David E. Lottinger, Philip Lottinger, Marsha Lottinger Grow, Daniel Lennep, Allen Lennep, Ann Lottinger Taylor, Lilla Marie Lottinger, Lisa Lottinger Cuccia, Lauren Lottinger Clark, Allen Lottinger Jr. and Amy Lottinger Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Philip Lottinger and Emma Marie Landry Lottinger; two brothers, Judge Robert Lottinger Sr. and Lee Lottinger Jr.; one sister, Ruth Lottinger Lennep; and one nephew, John Francis Lottinger.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. During Emma’s lifetime she was a bank teller, and worked as a legal secretary. She volunteered at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church Rectory and at Terrebonne General Medical Center where she also worked in the hospital gift shop. Emma was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, she belonged to the Legion of Mary and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She joined her friends in the Barr-Berry Garden Club. She hula hooped on her 80th birthday.
