Charles Wayne Blanchard a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Houma, LA died Tuesday October 26, 2010 at the age of 74. His services will be as follows: Visitation: Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 8:30 A.M. until service time at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, LA Service: Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No.2 Charles is survived by: Wife: Myra Duplantis Blanchard, Houma, LA Daughter: Charla Blanchard Chatagnier and husband Dale, New Orleans, LA Son: Wayne Blanchard and wife Tabatha, Heber Springs, AR Grandchildren: Christina, Eric and Blake Chatagnier, Jordan, Morgan, Katie and Joshua Blanchard Great Grandson: Braxton Blanchard Brother: F.E. Blanchard, Jr. Sisters: Mary Robinson, Delores "Jean" Pitre, Diane Westfall and Doris Arcenaux Charles is preceded in death by: Parents: Fermand J. Blanchard and Vera Modine Batemon Blanchard He was the owner of Dixie Sandblasting and Coating. He served in the Army during peacetime where he was stationed in Japan. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 614 Barrow Street, Houma, Louisiana, 70360.
