Joseph Floyd Foret, Sr, 69, a native and resident of Dulac, LA died Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.and Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 9:00 AM until service time at Holy Family Catholic Church. Funeral mass wil be Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Mary Ann Foret; children, Joseph Floyd Foret, Jr and fiancee Cathy Verdin, John Richard Foret and wife Dena, Dianna A. Foret and Melissa M. Foret; grandchildren, Joseph C. Starkey, Michael D. Starkey, Scott M. Starkey, John R. Foret, Jr., Steven P. Verdin, Angelle A. Gregoire and Sarah M. Foret; great grandchildren, Cameron Starkey, Ethan Starkey, Zachary Starkey and Ali Starkey Sister: Theresa Foret Courteaux Preceded in death by: Parents: Albert Esley Foret and Ernestine Eve Crochet Foret; daughter, Brenda M. Starkey; brothers, Joseph B. Foret and John D. Foret; sisters, Shirley Foret Dion, Lucille Foret Luke, Doris Foret Verret, and Mary Foret Billiot. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Boo loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and shrimping.
