Richard Aucoin

Richard Charles Aucoin, 77, a native of Lakelawn and resident of Bourg, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010. Visitation will be on Tuesday October 19,2010 from 9 a.m. to service time at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, with funeral services to follow. He is survived by three brothers, Rudy Aucoin, Donald David Aucoin and Roger Aucoin; six daughters, Phyllis Aucoin, Paula Aucoin, Sissy Neil, Betty DeVault, Carrie Denson and Dena Denson; two sons, Jason DeVault and Bobby Denson; five grandchildren, Asia Lee, Kodi Guidry, Dakota J. Carlos, Craig M. Carlos II and Blaze A. Aucoin; three great-grandchildren, Trinity Portier, Kenzie Portier and Shawn Pierre Jr.; several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Authement Aucoin; parents, Irving J. Aucoin and Phyllis Marie Rogers Aucoin; and son Irving “Bill” Claude Aucoin. He worked for Texaco for 35 years. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. He was an army veteran who served during the Korean War. Richard was a very hard worker who enjoyed working with bulldozers and heavy equipment. He loved cooking and family gatherings.
