Louis John LeCompte, 87, a native of Grand Caillou, LA and a resident of Chauvin, LA died on
Friday, October 8, 2010 at 2:30 AM.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his
wife, Laura Lee Pellegrin LeCompte;
sons, Rickey LeCompte and wife Abby Gale, and Denny LeCompte and wife Stephanie;
daughter, Bonnie LeCompte Robichaux and husband Richard;
grandchildren, Ruby LeCompte, Robin Lapeyrouse, Tracy LeCompte, Monica Arcenaux, Darren Robichaux, Benjy Robichaux, Deke LeCompte, Jessie Lynn Miller, Daniel LeCompte, Brian LeCompte, Sam LeCompte, and Meg LeCompte;
great grandchildren, Emma Lapeyrouse, Joseph Lapeyrouse, Jason Arcenaux, James Arcenaux, Rebecca Arcenaux, Courtney Robichaux, Kyle Robichaux, Lilly Robichaux, Cade Robichaux, Nathan LeCompte, Xander LeCompte, Madeline LeCompte, Elizabeth LeCompte, Thomas LeCompte, John LeCompte, Andrew Miller, Evan Miller, and Adam Miller;
great great grandchildren, Bella Lucy Arcenaux and Charlie Nell Arcenaux;
sisters, Clara Boudreaux, Genise LeCompte, Lolita Lirette.
He is preceded in death by,
parents, Oleus LeCompte and Emily Benoit LeCompte;
sons, Louis LeCompte, Jr., Bobby LeCompte; and
sister, Beulah LeCompte Boudreaux.
He worked for Shell Oil Company for 17 years and was a self employed trawler.
He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
HYe was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
